About Me



Anshul Pendse is a current MFA candidate in the Interactive Media and Games Division at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts. His current interests lay primarily in experimental sound design, virtual reality and multi-sensory experiences. He received his undergraduate degree from the National Center for Computer Animation, Bournemouth University, UK in 2009 in BA (Hons) Computer Visualization and Animation. After graduating, Anshul joined the Moving Picture Company’s film department as a Rendering Technical Director, working on high end visual effects for award winning films such as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, X-MEN: First Class, Prometheus and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, to name a few.

Anshul’s work at USC has focused on experimental sound design, and he has been a part of corporate sponsored projects at research labs in USC working on experimental sound design. He is currently producing his MFA Thesis project “Inner Activity”, which is a multi-sensory virtual reality experience.

Anshul believes in using the skill sets and technology from the entertainment industry to create meaningful, therapeutic and meditative experiences, a unique genre of interactive art that he calls “mindful entertainment”.
