The Moving Picture Company is an award winning, high end visual effects studio. Tasked with solving complex technical issues pertaining to visual effects rendering as Rendering Technical Director in the Film VFX department. Worked on various Oscar and BAFTA nominated films such as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Parts I & II).
Overview of Responsibilities:
- Formulated and implemented strategies for efficiently rendering large, complex visual effects sequences.
- Optimized Lighting-Shading-Rendering workflow.
- Maintained and developed the in-house rendering pipeline and toolset (coding for artist tools and software plug-ins, pipeline scripting).
- Correctly ascertained and forecasted rendering resource requirements of the studio. Developed an automated, self updating forecasting system that would pull production scheduling data and render statistics data and create a visual representation of the studios rendering requirements.
